Join us for a relaxing afternoon of creativity as we enter the festive season!
Take an hour or so out of your Saturday to slow down, paint two little Dala Horses to hang on your tree and get in the mood for Christmas.
Dala Horses originated in Dalarna, central Sweden, in the 17th century, where little wooden horses were carved to sell at market. A hundred years later forest workers carved horses during long winter nights to bring to the children in the villages. Later the horses were painted in bright colours, with floral patterns inspired by the style of folk painting seen on furniture and walls of homes in the region.
The event will be held at The Holywood Old School, giving us a lot more space than the studio. With the extra space babies and kids can come along too, with child safe paints provided.
